metzler lasertec tyres

If you happen to own an old/classic type of motorcycle and get depressed about the limited amount of tyre choice you have, or more importantly the quality of the tyre choice, then Metzeler have the answer with these Lasertec offerings.

The Lasertec tyre offers modern technology, developed from their race tyres, with the all-important classic tread pattern. They have a high silica content, which provides outstanding grip in both wet and dry conditions, so you’ll be able to grind away those rusty ol’ main-stands with total confidence and perhaps even get your knee down as well?

Metzeler have most sizes to fit classic bikes, like this gorgeous Suzuki GSX1100 for example, so get out and buy a set today.

Price: Between R2,000 – R2,500 per set, depending on sizes.

w2 boot

Adventure riding boots all tend to look the same, so how about riding around in these instead?

The W2 boot has a suede textured outer skin in a dark combat olive green colour that will also look the part if you happen to own a WW2 tank. And, if your tank happens to spring a coolant leak the W2 boot has a handy waterproof inner membrane to keep those sweaty feet nice and dry.

The distinctive chunky sole is made by Vibram (not sure who they are) but it’ll surely offer a lot of grip as you scramble over ditches and stuff. All in all, a very cool boot indeed.

KTM BAGIf you’re going to an event involving KTM motorcycles you might need, er, one of these to enforce your brand loyalty?

Obviously it’s a backpack but certainly not one of those crappy flea-market offerings that falls apart after its first fill, if you know what we mean?

This one is made by OGIO, whoever they are, but it is a certified KTM product, so there. It’ll hold your personal laptop, a pair of shorts, and six to eight cans of beer. What more could one possibly ask for from a mere ol’ bag?

Price: R690   Go to www.radmoto.co.za for contact details and more KTM stuff.

case savers

These interesting items are designed to protect the valuable end cases on late model Kawasaki ZX-10’s, which can save you thousands of Rand when you cartwheel up the track, hopefully not.

They’re made from a super strong alloy that’ll slide up the road rather than ‘digging in’ and tearing off the cases and leaving oil everywhere, more so than a BP oil rig, so they’re kind of environmentally friendly as well.

Or perhaps the ladies can use them as extraordinary earrings at some sort of exuberant gala event, and therefore protect their ears when they fall over drunk?

Price: R2,535    Go to www.fourwaysmotorcycles.co.za  for contact details and also have a click onto www.yoshimura-jp.com to see more exciting Yoshi’ products.
