New for 2017 are these excellent MX or off-road gloves from the famous Thor factory. They’re made from all sorts of fancy materials designed to stretch in four different dimensions, hopefully not during the inevitable tumble.

On the knuckle is a new Duratek material and, they have double layers on the palm making them also ideal for a nice road glove for summer days as well.

We do like the silicone fingertip inserts on this fetching Day-Glo/black colour glove, which we’ve heard can be used for erotic sex games as well – maybe?

New for 2017 is this full-face helmet from KTM. It’s not just a helmet that someone in SA has thrown stickers on either, oh no, it’s a genuine factory item aimed at the fast growing numbers of KTM street/road riders.

The Factor helmet has an anti-fog and anti-scratch visor and, a drop-down dark tinted visor hidden inside, a bit like a jet fighter pilot enjoys.

Thankfully it costs nowhere near as much as a ‘real’ fighter pilot’s helmet and we think it’s quite reasonable in today’s pricey environment.
