ktm jackets offIf you’re a big fan, like we most certainly are, of KTM road going motorcycles instead of pure off-road then you’re going to adore this new 2017 casual jacket.

This is the exact same one that the team and riders wear in the GP paddock including the stunning new RC16 Moto GP team. Except they have a few more badges attached.

It’s made from a ‘soft-cell’ material (similar to diving suits) with a cozy and warm inner fleece liner, ideal for our forthcoming winter.

It’s so attractive that Bill has just ran off to go and buy one, which says a lot for this garment!

Price: R2,150   Go to www.radmoto.co.za for contact and purchase details.

VMXYour eyes do not deceive you this is the famous Bell Moto III MX helmet reborn and now for sale once again in 2017. Apparently worn by Steve McQueen and his mass of off-road friends whilst tearing around the Californian desert during the 60s and 70s.

Obviously these yellow and red options are now made to present-day safety standards, which is a good thing.

So, if you own a classic MX bike and enter those Vintage Class races that are now so popular you’ll certainly look the business in one of these – maybe?

Price; R6,450   Go to www.langstonmotorsport.co.za to locate a Bell dealer in SA.

www.bellhelmets.com will reveal the full range of retro helmets.

STUNTAs far as old school/retro full-face helmets go you can’t get much better than this version from Bell. Basically, the 2017 Bullitt is an exact replica of the ones made in the 1970s with the addition of modern day materials and improved safety standards.

We specifically chose this one because it’s a kind of Evil Knievel design and totally American, if you like that kind of thing?

The Bullitt range also has that very distinctive ‘goldfish-bowl’ visor from the ‘70s. Even if you never use it this surely makes a fantastic display piece.

Price: R7,999  Go to www.langstonmotorsports.co.za to find your local Bell dealer.

Also visit www.bellhelmets.com to admire the full range.

gaurne boots coloursThese are one of the best looking race boots we’ve come across and Gaerne proudly display it’s their 50th Anniversary on the box. After 50 years in business there’s no wonder they call themselves ‘The Boot Company’.

Many world-class riders who believe and trust in the build quality and superb protection offered wear the GP1 boot.

We have the white/black and black/day-glo yellow options here that have steel toe, heel and shin plates, plus a wealth of carbon composite parts making these very appealing to the eye that’s for sure. Not cheap but the best never is, right?
