The Moto Guzzi California range of  model variations are now available at Cayenne World the 1400 Custom and California 1400 Touring are presented as world ambassadors for the Moto Guzzi brand, embodying the highest values of Italian designed as an ideal of beauty and luxury.MotoGuzzi California03

“Everything on the California Touring and California Custom helps to combine the best of the latest and most advanced technology with the classic style and elegance of the Moto Guzzi brand,” said Craig Langton sales director Moto Guzzi SA and co-owner of the Cayenne group. “There is a brand new powerful 1400cc engine in the classic transversal V2 architecture, ride by wire, cruise control, ABS and traction control are among the key features on the new models, at launch price from R 199 900 including the Cayenne custom package and standard added value offer, while stocks last” said Langton

Hand built in the factory in Mandello del Lario (Como, Italy), where the Moto Guzzi have been built since 1921, the California 1400 range is distinguished by the craftsmanship with which each component is made and assembled, attention to detail that makes every Moto Guzzi California a unique machine, for a very passionate and exclusive clientele.MotoGuzzi California01

The California’s conquer the rider with the strength expressed by its unique cruiser design, hard and pure, all made with the rigour of form and function, combined with a typically Italian aesthetic sense. This can be seen in the details, such as the two-seater saddle boasting the hot-pressed Eagle logo, the drag bar handlebars with light-weight supports and the original rear shock absorbers with external tank. To increase the expressive power of the design is also the minimal graphics based on textured colours such as mercury grey and basalt black and certain skilful touches of style, such as the black lacquered wheels with red Moto Guzzi logo and black wing mirrors.

The aim of the new California 1400 has been achieved as the world's first custom bike with traction control and above all, with the wonderful twin-cylinder engine, the 1380 cc displacement is a record for a Moto Guzzi V2, the four-valve engine, a completely new development in line with the original architecture. One travels enveloped in the sound of the 1380 cc big bore, ready to unleash 120 Nm at 2750 rpm or cruise in overdrive, at little more than idling, trying to listen to the beats of the 104 mm pistons of the mighty 90 degree V-Twin, filtered by the innovative elasto-kinematic fixing to the tubular frame

The Moto Guzzi 1400 Custom is the most dynamic and stimulating expression of the California range. Powerful, quick and elegant, it is built to make elite bike enthusiasts' hearts beat fast and it has been the emblem of Moto Guzzi's culture and ability to build unique bikes since 1921.
The new Moto Guzzi California 1400 Custom, unlike its Touring sibling, does not represent a homage to the forty year dynasty of the California, but rather it is a conceptually different bike which possesses a more transversal style with various stylistic contaminations, summing them up in an essential and muscular design.

It doesn't spoil the riders with accessories and shiny gadgets, but it wins their heart with the power expressed in its "drag bike", style design, hard and pure, but all made in the strictest form and function, combined with a typically Italian aesthetic sense, an expression of attention to detail and executive capacity worthy of the best interpretations that made in Italy has ever produced in the automotive field.

The impression is further accentuated by the horizontal flow of the shiny silencers which end at the rear mudguard, moulded over the impressive 200 tyre and equipped with a spectacular dual LED taillight assembly which also houses the turn indicators. The front view is no less spectacular with a complex surface headlight equipped, with LED DRL daylight running light illumination, the first custom model in the world  to have this system an absolutely exclusive feature, making it immediately recognisable.

The instrument panel stands out for its attractive style and visibility, enclosed in a circular panel which is an impressive 150 mm in diameter with the analogue RPM indicator scale carved out along the outside of the multifunction, suspended full matrix display at the centre. Other innovations include the covered hand grips, the drag-bar handlebar and the electric blocks where on the right hand, as on the Touring version, the rider can engage the cruise control.

The different mappings allow the rider to choose from the engine characteristic which best suits his/her riding style, the route or the weather conditions. In fact, modifying the torque output and engine brake management, the ECU is able to give the California engine all the smoothness needed to provide maximum comfort, aggressiveness for those who prefer a sportier ride or the control needed on a wet surface, in the latter situation this is nothing less than providential given the capacity of the engine to unload 120 Nm of torque to the ground at just 2750 RPM and stretch out up to 6500 RPM to reach the last of its ninety-six horses (71KW).
MotoGuzzi California02

The new heads have four valves per cylinder, driven by an overhead cam in each bank, through a roller rockers system, to reduce friction losses. The modern nature of the engine is also expressed through the presence of the double ignition, in order to guarantee perfect combustion, as well as two oxygen sensors, which make the mixture in the cylinders uniform in any operating conditions with a consequent improvement in fuel economy and harmful emissions.

Contributing to the overall general efficiency of the engine is the new larger size finning of the cylinders, enriched by the "brushed" finish of the external edge and the generous sizing of the oil radiator, equipped with a thermostat controlled electric fan, which reduces the average operating temperature, in addition to the new filter box redesigned to cater to the robust thrust of the twin cylinder.

The result is that the California engine, despite the generous increase in displacement improves fuel economy by 15-20%, depending on the conditions of use, compared to the "Quattrovalvole" 1200 cc engine.
The transmission is now a six speed instead of five while the clutch goes from a twin-disc to a new dry single disc with built in flexible coupling and reduced activation load.

The final drive has been completely redesigned and satisfies the new need to transfer, with maximum fluidity and comfort, the enormous torque of the engine, in addition to boasting an elastic aspect with significantly more modern and technological aesthetics.

The Cayenne group range of the popular California Touring and Super Touring model  comes in five different versions the California 1400, the Custom, Touring 2013 and Super Touring 2015, the popular Stone model (Italian Army Replica).  Launch price from R 199 900 inclusive.

“No two of the same looking Moto Guzzi California’s will be sold or leave the show room, customers can all have their very own exclusive special looking California model,” said Craig Langton sales director Moto Guzzi SA and co-owner of the Cayenne Group. “We have set aside a budget for the Guzzi package, it can include various FREE options paint jobs, graphics, to the side panels, back and front mud guards, tank, exhaust or a Shark helmet, last but not least is all the new California’s will come with a 3 year FREE service plan.

Zero fuel costs, zero maintenance, zero parts, zero servicing, zero problems and huge savings all for only R1 950 per month.

For just over 2 years now, Craig Langton co-owner and sales director of the giant Cayenne Group has been working on an innovative concept to make motor cycling the affordable commuting option of choice, the Zero brand is the ultimate answer to the solution. After a huge amount of hard work, negotiations and research the deal is finally done and the Cayenne Group was appointed as the official importer of ZERO Electric motorcycles earlier this year.

The Zero units are the perfect answer to commuting in South Africa. The innovative plan does not stop there either as the Cayenne Group has a stunning new package for the brand when they arrive end April.zero 01

Craig knows that South Africans are true petrol heads and love their cars and large superbikes, cruisers and adventure bikes, he also stated that these guys can keep their motorcycles and cars for the weekends or the cars for the wet weather and still save thousands of Rands by commuting on a Zero electric motorcycle. Powerful enough to out accelerate anything on the road today, any car or Superbike will struggle to beat a Zero off the mark, or from 0 to 80 km/hr, and an impressive top end of 165 km/hr, the Zero’s are also a real blast to ride, enjoying a range of up to 250 km’s and more on just one charge. They can be charged anywhere from your normal household plug or at the office, an overnight charge is recommended but one could be on ones way with a 2 hour charge.

The best part of the Zero/Cayenne package is it’s cheaper to own and run than the cost of your monthly fuel bill for a car or a medium to large motorcycle not mention the other costs on maintenance, lubes, oil etc.

“We recently met with the new Marketing and Sale Director of Zero Motorcycles USA, the motorcycle legend Pieter de Waal, ex CEO of BMW motorcycles America and the same guy that turned BMW motorcycles around in South Africa many years ago, Peter retired recently from BMW USA and was then offered the post at Zero head office in the USA,” said Craig Langton. He openly admits, “I love my Zero and prefer it to all my motorcycles, once you have ridden a Zero Motorcycle you can’t get off it. I have never had so much Fun!”

Pieter also went on to say that, he’s delighted he did not have to compete with Cayenne Group in his time with BMW South Africa as it would have been a real challenge keeping up with such dynamic operators. He was also very pleased to be part of the Cayenne family and would be utilizing their new Cayenne strategy for Zero offices worldwide.

The new Cayenne Zero package is a real no brainer if you are looking for an affordable commuter, who wouldn’t think about purchasing and commuting on a ZERO Electric motorcycle. Imagine never filling up again! A critical part of making this innovative technology available at an affordable price and bringing this innovative product to market is Cayenne’s finance partner, MFC a division of Nedbank limited. Nedbank are well known for supporting ‘Green’ initiatives and were excited to support the new Zero program which will all be happening in May this year.

Cayenne World will be introducing 3 models - the DS Dual Sport, the S Street Fighter and the high performance SR model. The DS and S models will be packaged at R 1950 per month over 72 months, with a 3 year guaranteed buyback, a 5 year 160 000 km warranty and a free service plan!zero 02

There are some clear advantages to going electric with no need to visit the petrol stations, no oil, no exhaust, no noise etc. In addition, there are a host of benefits experienced by Zero owners on a regular basis that are not as obvious. Behind the design of each cutting edge model is a philosophy of elegant simplicity that keeps the weight of the motorcycle low, virtually eliminates all routine powertrain maintenance and yields stealthy acceleration. The result is an incredibly exhilarating ride and an ownership experience that appreciates kilometer after kilometer

As a premium brand, Zero designs each motorcycle with the sort of quality and integrity that inspires an exceptional riding experience. Beyond that, the upfront cost of a Zero is not what it appears to be when compared against its traditional internal combustion counterparts. Each kilometer ridden on a Zero is considerably less expensive, making it considerably more enjoyable, due to the elimination of routine powertrain maintenance and no fuel expenses. As it turns out, when compared to other premium brands, a Zero starts saving the owner money on fuel and maintenance from day one. In fact, over the life of their motorcycle many Zero owners actually save more than they would have if they had purchased a comparable internal combustion model.

All Zero motorcycles feature a direct drive, maintenance-free powertrain. As an incredibly efficient system, direct drive channels power directly from the motor to the rear wheel via a strong and silent, constant tension belt. Not only does direct drive minimize friction loss by eliminating clutches and gears, but it also helps eliminate the need for routine powertrain maintenance and reduces the weight of the motorcycle.

The Z-Force® powertrain uses revolutionary technology to maximize efficiency and eliminate the need for complex cooling mechanisms. The resulting system produces so little heat under typical operation, that everything from the power pack to the motor itself is entirely air-cooled. The result is fewer possible mechanical problems when it comes to maintenance, parts, fluids, transmissions and heat.

“We have ordered three models for starters,” said Craig Langton. “ the DS Dual Sport a on and off road model, the S Street Fighter and the high performance SR model, the DS and S models will be packaged from R 1950 per month over 72 months this will include all ones costs and the added value. Our calculations show us that this monthly cost we have in mind is ones minimum fuel cost each month.

The Cayenne group unpacked its 2015 Moto Guzzi’s V7 ll Racers this week, revealing the most popular Moto Guzzi’s model which is available in a six new variations, from Cayenne these being the Racer ABS 6 speed, the Evan Mc Gregor Racer replica, the Stone and Stone 4, the stunning Café Racer and the Scrambler model.V7 LTD EDITION

“The plan is to have no two of the same V7 ll Racer leave our show room, customers can all have their very own exclusive special Moto Guzzi V7 ll Racer from any of the models available,” said Craig Langton Sales Director Moto Guzzi SA and co-owner of the Cayenne Group. “For a very reasonable allocated budget that we have set aside for this brand the customer can create his own exclusive V7 ll Racer it can include the various FREE options available consisting of paint jobs, graphics, the side panels, back and front mud guards, tank, exhaust, conversions to a café racer or scrambler, right up to having one’s own personal number on the traditional Moto Guzzi side plate, or the customer has an option of the latest  Shark helmet plus, last but not least is all the new units will come with a 3 year FREE service plan.” said Langton.

In introducing the new generation V7 ll Racers the best-selling and most popular "Eagle brand” Moto Guzzi models, manufactured in limited edition as the celebratory plate located on the upper steering yoke indicates, the V7 II Racer confirming the previous model's equipment and features when the total-black look was introduced on the side panels, mirrors, silencer brackets and foot peg guards in contrast with the bright 22 litre chromium fuel tank.

Other premium components include the aft-mounted foot pegs machined from solid billets, the lightened steering stem and the steering yoke guard consisting of a double chromed ring, which is so exquisitely crafted that it looks like an ornamental feature. Particularly satisfying, not only from an aesthetic point of view but also in terms of dynamic performance, is the presence of a pair of WMY01 Bitubo shock absorbers with adjustable spring preload, in extension and compression, thanks to a 12 click adjusting knob.2015-Moto-Guzzi-V7II-Range-small

This is a bike that was born to be ridden strictly one-up, in black leathers, a skullcap helmet and leather stud palm gloves.

The new Moto Guzzi V7 II was christened thus according to Mandello tradition and it is available in three factory versions, each with its own identity: Stone, Racer and Special. Cayenne has added 3 more models conversions to the line-up. Making its début on the V7 ll Racer is a new, six speed gearbox with spacings that has allowed the first and last two ratios to be reduced, decreasing the drop in rpm between one gear and the next. Along with the new gearbox the clutch was also improved in order to achieve a softer action and a more even release. Moto Guzzi continues to develop solutions to increase active safety features and on the new V7 II the ABS braking system and MGCT (Moto Guzzi Controlled Traction) system have been introduced.

The former is a two-channel system, whereas the latter is a sophisticated electronic system that ensures ideal traction in any conditions, preventing the rear wheel from sliding during acceleration, thereby averting dangerous loss of grip to increase riding safety.2015-Moto-Guzzi-V7II-Racer1

The aesthetics have also evolved on the new V7 II the engine has been tilted 4° toward the front axle and lowered 10 mm. This solution not only significantly improves the aesthetics from a side view, which on previous models seemed to have a "nose-up" look of the 90° V, but it also created more knee room. The new V7 II also has new 25 mm lower foot pegs, providing a comfortable position even for above average height riders, while remaining accessible and "user friendly" for riders - men and women - of any size.

The result achieved represents enough of an evolution to warrant a new name the V7 II. The addition of the Roman numeral historically identifies the most successful and longest running products to come out of Mandello del Lario, such as the V50, Le Mans, 1000 SP, California and now also the V7 in its well-known and popular versions. 2015-Moto-Guzzi-V7II-Special1

Among other things, The MGCT system allows the tyre contact surface with the ground to be recalibrated, thereby compensating for any wear or the use of units that have a profile different than the original standard equipment. Two indicator lights on the instrument cluster signal activation of the ABS and MGCT action.

Looking at the V7 II for the first time, the trained eye of an enthusiast may sense an initial significant difference: the bike appears to be longer and more front-loaded. This is not an optical illusion: the engine has been tilted 4° toward the front axle and lowered 10 mm compared to the previous model. This has created three more centimetres of knee room which, along with the new 25 mm lower foot pegs, provide a comfortable position even for taller than average riders.SCRAMBLER

Besides comfort, the Moto Guzzi V7 II is a whole new motorcycle in terms of riding pleasure. All you have to do is squeeze the clutch and engage the gear to appreciate a soft and quiet action which was unheard of on the previous five speed gearbox. Once you are in the saddle, lowered to 790 mm, you'll discover how the new saddle-handlebar-foot pegs triangulation transmits the pleasant sensation of being in the bike and not on top of it like with the previous version. The new riding position allows you to fully enjoy the changes made to the chassis which, thanks to the new lower and farther forward position of the engine, have made it more communicative and efficient in demanding riding.

The rear axle has also been re-stabilised, increasing suspension negative travel by lowering the cardan final drive output 50 mm. This now allows greater tyre grip during load transfer, both in braking and direction changes.
The V7 II is not a bike designed to break track records, but even in that situation it is faster now than the previous version along with its direct competitors.2015-Moto-Guzzi-V7II-Stone6

The new Moto Guzzi V7 II embodies the important heritage of one of the most popular models in the extraordinary history of this glorious all-Italian motorcycle brand and offers a completely revamped riding experience to further reinforce the presence of the "Eagle Brand" on the market."
