After five seasons together, between Moto2 and the Top Class, Marco Bezzecchi will leave the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team at the end of the current season.
Tavullia (Italy), June 25th 2024 - Marco Bezzecchi will leave the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team Pat the end of the 2024 season to start a new adventure in an official factory team. Among the most interesting riders on the Italian panorama and in the orbit of the VR46 Racing Team since the end of 2019, when he joined the Moto2 team, Marco signs two exceptional seasons with the Tavullia crew in MotoGP, a result that allows him to hit another important milestone. He is the third rider who grew up in the Vr46 Racing Team nursery that landed in an official Team thus following Francesco Bagnaia and Luca Marini.
Marco is in the history of the MotoGP as the first rider to get on the podium (Dutch GP 2022) and to have won a Grand Prix with the neon yellow of the VR46 in the top class (Argentina GP 2023). Arriving in the queen class riding a Ducati at the start of the 2022 season, immediately impresses with the title of Rookie of the Year. 2023 is a turning point, fast on all tracks, constant and always on the bike with full heart. Despite the injury in the final stages of the championship, he conquers the third place in the general standings with three wins (also a victory in the Sprint at Assen) and 13 podiums (7 GP podiums and 6 Sprint podiums).
A successful story that includes, in the two-year period 20/21, in the middle class, three wins, the World Title as a Team (in 2020 with Marini) and third place in general standings in 2021.
Currently 11th in the standings with 45 points and protagonist at the Spanish GP with the first seasonal podium of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, third at the finishing line, Marco will work, with the support of the whole Team, to hit other important placements and close this beautiful adventure.
