Either way it’s a genuine Arai utilizing all their enviable safety and strength expertise. So it’s most certainly not some kind of cheap gimmick helmet with an odd design.
Odd design this most certainly is though. If you’re into mat black open-face helmets covered in brightly painted ‘voodoo’ like skulls, then how can you resist this. Apparently, a Jamaican dude didn’t design the helmet but we have our doubts regarding that issue.
