Race Ready: 2027 WR450F and WR250F
The 2027 WR450F arrives ready to take on any enduro challenge. It boasts the latest in Yamaha engine developments including new camshaft timing – optimised for enduro riding to deliver smooth power characteristics while reducing the tendency to stall, giving the rider extra confidence on any trail.
An all-new chassis design compliments the power of the 450cc engine, which has been tuned to offer a balanced rigidity, giving the rider more comfort and control on any terrain. The downtube features a thickened upper section, with a narrowed bottom section and asymmetric engine mounts to ensure more comfort and a better response when tackling tough enduro challenges.
Reducing rider fatigue over long rides is the hydraulic clutch which gives the rider plenty of feel and improved operability on rough terrain. A lighter pull enables riders to easily control the engine, particularly when handling extreme conditions and low-speed enduro riding.
An improved rear brake setup with new brake hose material, coupled with a revised caliper shape and smaller brake disc allows the rider to take full control on steep descents, and industry leading KYB suspension completes the package, with optimised enduro setup providing a lower centre of gravity for increased low-speed control.
The 2027 WR250F redefines enduro riding standards. Peak performance is guaranteed with its powerful YZ250F inspired engine – equipped with an enduro-specific ECU and a high-efficiency airflow management system, ensuring race-winning power is available at the twist of a wrist.
Placing the WR250F firmly in another league is the exceptional handling qualities provided by an optimised bilateral-beam frame, giving the rider the perfect blend of rigidity for optimum feel, making the frame lightweight enough to handle every trail, while durable enough to withstand the demands of technical enduro-style riding. The chassis paired with industry-leading KYB suspension, is set up specifically to excel in enduro competition and ensures race-winning capabilities whether riding through low-speed technical sections or tearing along high-speed trails.
Cutting edge technology is apparent on the WR250F, with an LCD meter providing riders with an odometer, trip meters, a clock, timer/stopwatch plus a low fuel warning light along with a fuel consumption indicator to allow the rider to plan fuel stops.
Both the WR450F and WR250F come equipped with an industry-first anti-theft ECU lock system. Controlled via the Power Tuner app, the system ensures higher levels of security whether parked in the paddock, in the garage or during transport between events. The Power Tuner app also allows riders to choose the characteristics of the power delivery, adjustable between ‘Smooth’ and ‘Aggressive’ as well as being able to adjust traction control settings – giving the rider ultimate control of every ride.
