It’s been a very long time since we’ve heard of a new range of bikes that have 95% new components, but that’s what Husqvarna have on offer with their highly impressive 2024 Enduro range.
From their new chromium molybdenum chassis’, to new plastics and a wealth of new electronics Husqvarna has certainly moved the goal posts, regarding Enduro machinery.
The SA Launch began with a chilly cruise around the Hatbeespoort Dam, with an unveiling of a new bike, and then onto the ride at the Blue Groove Enduro loop, the following morning. A course designed to test these types of bikes in all areas.
Seven new bikes were launched on the day, three two-stokes, and four four-strokes. The two-stokes being the TE 150, TE 250 and the TE 300, with the four-stroke options being the FE 250, FE 350, FE 450 and the mighty FE 501.
All with new engines, but the biggest change to the two-stroke range is the adoption of (TBI) technology, or Throttle Body Injection, a claimed vast improvement with fuel delivery and engine response. The four-strokes enjoy traction control modes, power modes, quickshifter, and more, items previously seen only on road going motorcycles- very impressive indeed.Another huge performance change is the new WP XACT Closed cartridge suspension, and everyone who rode said it’s one of the biggest improvements on the new 2024 range. Improved feel and more consistent damping were the comments, which in general makes for a better and more controlled ride on all counts, regarding suspension.
The new engines also received similar approval, with the new two-stokes, especially the TE 150 enjoying favourable comments. It seemed the TE 250 was the overall choice and the FE 350 the choice in the four-stroke department, but the choice is now yours and there’s so much to offer for different types of rider in 2024.
So, improved in every department and now available at your local Husqvarna dealer throughout SA. And in case you’re wondering, here’s the new price list of the new 2024 range, with a vast range of accessories on offer at extra cost.
