Another success for The Franchise Co, Tork Craft Kawasaki and Sleep Over Motel C.I.T Tork Craft Honda Off-road teams at Round 2 of the Off Road GXCC in Rustenburg
Mike Pentecost took his 2nd overall win in P1 in the OR1 Pro Class followed by teammates Gareth Cole Tyron Beverly a 1, 2, and 3 for the team. Wian Wentzel took the P1 spot in the competitive High School class, Jaden Els raced his way to a P2 position in the JNR 85 cc class, Johandré Vermaak achieved a P4 position in the SNR 85cc class and Tork Crafts Ryan Hunt a 4th overall in the GXCC Masters class. Wade Blaauw clinched P1 spot in Seniors class, Leah Heygate took the podium win in the Ladies class and Danel Delport taking P3 in the Ladies Pro-Am class

Mike Pentecost champion of the day coming in with an overall win his 2nd for the season in the OR1 Pro class. Mike had his prep leading up to the race. He had a great start and flawless race although the track was quite rough and dusty. Mike didn't take any chances and kept it smooth. “Gareth Cole and teammate Tyron Beverly kept the pressure on, says Mike, a great ride from them and good overall team result.” "I must thank the team for their efforts, all very professional, thanks to the team owner Harry Grobler.”
Tyron Beverly had an excellent day himself, after a good start he managed to keep the pace and hold on to the P3 position in the OR1 class and P3 overall. Tyron said "The bike ran perfect all day didn't skip a beat, my Dunlop mx53 held up extremely well in the hard pack conditions and gave me grip right to the end" Wian Wentzel finally broke through to the P1 spot in the competitive High School class. A great ride so early in the season. Jaden Els raced his way to a P2 position in the JNR 85 cc class a well-deserved podium for the day for the young rider, John Botha secured a P5 spot in the OR3 Pro class. Johandré Vermaak achieved a P4 position in the SNR 85cc class, and Ryan Hunt a 4th overall in the GXCC Masters class
The Sleep Over Motel C.I.T Tork Craft Honda Off-road team, Wade Blaauw took the P1 spot in Seniors class described the race as "great old-school off-road race in Rustenburg, getting to grips with the Honda 450RX which ran flawlessly.” Leah Heygate took the podium win in the Ladies class Leah confirmed. "The bike was incredible and didn't miss a beat, but I definitely wasn't top of my game, I was lucky to have walked away with the win and no falls.” Gareth Cole had a good start behind Pentecost in P2, he kept the pace and stayed behind him the entire race. Haydn Cole racing in OR3 Pro class came in P4 position. Gerhard Vorster raced his way to a P10 spot in the Seniors class, Danel Delport coming in P3 in the Ladies Pro-Am class and Liam Scheepers 5th in the GXCC 65cc class.
“I was very impressed by the way the teams were set up on the day and how efficient they were in the pits getting riders refueled and back on the track again.” “This was my 2nd cross country event in about 25 years and from what I remember dust was the main factor then and this GXCC outside Rustenburg was no different,” said Multiple SA Motocross national champion Ryan Hunt. “Being in the saddle for 3 to 4 hours takes a special talent to ride at fast speeds through the farms, all the teams and riders seemed to handle it and finished well in the results.”
